At Bean Central we believe in building an environment that ensures everyone is provided with an equal opportunity. This means we employ staff with disabilities, encourage learning and training of new skills and we love to see our community bloom.
Housed at 111 Monaro Street – the former address of Queanbeyan’s iconic Central Café – Bean Central is Queanbeyan’s new ‘go-to’ venue for coffee and cake with friends, brunch with the family or simply for milkshakes and hot chips after school.
With a menu that aims to cater for all tastes and dietary requirements and includes some of the regions finest produce, we think you’ll be impressed and ready to tell your social followers #ivebeentobean
At Bean Central…
…you are the Hero
in our story
We are committed to creating a welcoming and positive environment for everyone that comes into our café, whether they are an employee or a guest. We know when people enjoy a good cup of coffee or a delicious meal and are made to feel welcome, it creates a special memory for them and can brighten their spirits for days.
That is why we provide the best food, coffee and customer service in Queanbeyan, because everybody deserves to feel welcome when celebrating life’s precious moments and creating lifelong memories.
So, take the time to enjoy your meal, savour that coffee and enjoy having someone else look after you for a while.
Our Coffee Blend…
…is simply brilliant
Roasted in Sydney by specialty coffee roasters, Seven Miles, Bear and the Beard is an indulgent, syrupy blend of coffee that is guaranteed to please.
Blended of coffees from the regions of Latin America and Sumatra, Bear and the Beard delivers a smooth, sweet and rich coffee experience.
But it also offers much more than that. Seven Miles donate $1 from every kilogram of Bear and the Beard sold to Bear Cottage.
Bear Cottage is a special place dedicated to caring for children with life-limiting conditions, as well as providing support and respite to the families and carers of these children.
An initiative of the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, Bear Cottage is the only children’s hospice in NSW and the only one in the world affiliated with a children’s hospital.
Our Team, Our Community
At Bean Central, we pride ourselves on being a true community cafe.
We want to be at the forefront of community spirit within Queanbeyan and being able to provide employment opportunities to people who haven’t been able to secure work within the hospitality industry because of their disability is something we are truly passionate about.
At times, we realise and accept that this may impact the speed of service within the café, but with time and patience, we know that each and every member of our team will grow and become strong, independent members of the hospitality industry as a whole.
We are incredibly proud to be the first Zero Barriers accredited business in Queanbeyan.
